GemBurst

GemBurst is a jewel-mining slot from Playtech: red, purple, gold and silver gems sit in a reel frame shaped like a giant diamond, deep inside a mine. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 243 ways to win, medium volatility and a 96.16% RTP.

Every win triggers a cascade – the winning gems explode and new ones drop in – and a multiplier track beside the reels climbs with each consecutive win, boosting the next cascade. Three or more dynamite scatters start the Blasting free games, worth between 6 and 30 spins. The red gem pays up to 500x the line bet. Stakes run from €0.25 to €50 with a top win of €33,450, so it suits players who enjoy chain reactions more than single big hits.

Gems line both sides of the reels, which are framed as a huge diamond set inside a mine. A soundtrack plays throughout, the control bar sits at the bottom, and the game runs in the browser on desktop and mobile.

The four coloured gems are the high-value symbols, paying from 8x the line bet for three up to 500x for five. A, K, Q and J pay 3x to 80x the line bet. Stakes range from €0.25 to €50 per spin.

With 243 ways to win, any three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left form a win. Five red gems across the reels pay the top regular prize of 500x the line bet.

• Cascades: winning symbols burst and new symbols fall into their place, giving another chance to win on the same spin.
• Multiplier track: multipliers beside the reels light up and rise with every new winning combination and apply to the next winning cascade.
• Wild: substitutes for every symbol except the scatter.
• Blasting free games: three or more dynamite scatters award between 6 and 30 free games.
